The Dishonater

This mean, fightin' machine is my awesome little brother Kobe, aka Dish. I have no idea where the nickname Dish came from but it has stuck with him. Last weekend his football team won the championship for their league and I couldn't be more proud of him.

Kobe played tackle this year and had quite a few sacks. It's been fun to watch these boys play this season. They went undefeated. Congrats Dish, you had an awesome season, can't wait to watch you next year!

Baby Boy

Here is what we have seen of our offspring thus far in the 23 weeks that I have been prego.

These pictures were taken about a month ago, but that day it really hit me that I am actually having a baby. It doesn't seem real to me that there is something growing inside of me (besides the fact that I haven't felt like myself in five months)until I actually get to see him or feel him move. I hope I will be prepared to be a mother by the time he gets here. I'm not worried about Bucky at all, I already know he is going to be an awesome dad.

I made a list of things I want to get done before I have the baby:
      1. Get my wedding scrapbook done
      2. Have all of my preschool lessons put together and
      organized
      3. Get my house in order somewhat
      4. Catch up in my journal
      5. Have the nursery finished

Before blogging I was looking through photo's I need to order and store in case something happened to our computer and I came across these photos from our wedding video.

These photos get me really excited to see what our little guy is going to look like and act like. Hopefully he is more like Bucky and has a cute little tush like in the picture above;)

Peace & Love

As I was running errands the other day I drove past one of these...

I couldn't help but smile because the driver had on a tie dye shirt with long messy hair and it took me back to the 60's/70's (if I actually new what it was like then).

The point of me telling this story is because this vehicle is my absolute dream car. If I had to choose between Shia's Bumblebee corvette and a Volkswagen van, the van would win hands down.

I tried explaining to Bucky how this would be such a great family vehicle (if it were entirely re-gutted and had a new engine) because it's fun, roomy, and groovy. He wasn't buying it though. I guess I will have to wait until the next life to get this absolutely fabulous van.

In my opinion, I believe my future children will love this van. I will be the cool mom. Or they may be super embarrassed of me. For the time being I will just have to purchase a toy Volkswagen van like the one above. A girl can only dream.

What a Wonderful World

I love picnics. For some reason i've been very fond of them for some time. Yesterday's weather was absolutely perfect for an evening picnic, so I got my picnic gear gathered and told Bucky about our romantic evening that I had planned. He seemed so thrilled about it...

For our romantic evening I made spaghetti and salads. We also opened up a glass of wine (sparkling cider) that was a wedding gift from nine months ago. We thought we were pretty cool. The evening was so perfect with the mountain breeze from the canyon and the sound of running water from the river. It's moments like this that I realize what a wonderful world it is.

My Grandma Elva and I are really good friends. In fact, during my two years at Dixie I probably spent more time with her than I did dating any men. Those of you that know her understand why someone would want to spend so much time with her. She is an amazing lady. I believe my love for picnics came from Elva. She would always tell me about how she and my Grandpa Brant would go on picnics all the time when they were a younger couple. This picture is probably one of my favorites in the whole entire world. It is of Brant and Elva on a picnic.

This photo makes me want to live in the 1940's, minus the war.

Brant, Aunt Trisha, Aunt Lori, and my mother

They continued their love for picnics and took their eight children occasionally. I'm going to make sure to take my children often so I hope Bucky is up for it!

Meet Bella & Duchess

These are our precious little bunnies. I've never been a bunny person whatsoever until I married Bucky. They are very low maintenance and I never have to clean up poop. Now that's what i'm talking about.

I bought the bunnies for Bucky on Easter because he and his family had a bunch of them while growing up. He seemed to be quite fond of them so I thought I would find us some. Our neighbor children sure enjoy them.

We certainly love these bunnies, but unfortunately for them we have something a little more special on the way. Meet Peanut...

He/she will be here in 176 days. Woo woo!

Summer Lovin'

Bucky and I had a really good summer other than the fact that I had summer school and Bucky probably wanted to kill me sometimes because of how stressed I would get--but we made it and i'm done with school. Woo woo. We took a few trips over the summer and I can't believe it is already over. Time fly's when your having fun.  Our first trip of the summer included a loooooong road trip to visit my sis and her family in Arizona. Not the prettiest drive, but I will say that it was well worth it though. Bucky and I tended our sweet little nieces while Maddie went to girls camp and while Kade worked. They were fairly easy and Bucky changed two poopy diapers. Mahaha. He needs to practice anyway;) When Maddie got back from camp we took a trip to the zoo and I'm pretty sure Bucky enjoyed seeing the animals far more than the girls did.  Towards the end he pretty much had to drag Maddie and I around because we were complaining about how hot it was and how we wanted to get out of there. Really embarrassing on mine and Maddie's part, the little girls weren't even whining.

One of the nights in Arizona we decided it was time to find a babysitter for the girls and go on a double date with Kade and Maddie. We went to a drive-in movie (something i've always dreamed of). It was so much fun. I about wigged out on the car next to us though because they wouldn't turn their car off the ENTIRE movie.  I thought I was going to be engulfed with fumes and die. They didn't ruin the whole outdoor movie experience for me though, it was absolutely fabulous. I want to open one in Cedar one day but I doubt that will happen. People aren't cool enough here to keep it in business. Anyway, we had so much fun with Kade, Maddie, and their girls. I miss them so.

We also went to Transformers 3 at the imax in 3d, it was sick with it, I won't lie

Until next time homies...

#1

Well, I guess it's finally time to start a blog. I gave into peer pressure from my older sister Maddie and my friends (specifically Elyse and Sara). So thanks to you gals, here we are.

Today is Bucky and I's 7th month anniversary. In celebration of the fabulous seven months we've been wedded I'm going to post some pictures of our wedding and honeymoon. I loved how our wedding turned out and I would just like to reminisce in the wonderfulness of that day:)

   It was flipping cold.

Kobe was so excited to meet Uncle Bruce.

Charlie's Angels (for some reason this was our most dominate pose    throughout our childhood:)
We attempted to work the serious pose. Bucky can pull it of but I most definitely failed.

All credit goes to Maddie on the cake toppers.

And this is my sweet sister/wedding planner. She and my mom saved me. I love how everything turned out.

And now for the after party...

 Matsumoto's
I tried talking Bucky into getting a job at this Ace but he wasn't going for it.

I promise I won't show this many pictures again, it was probably overwhelming. I thoroughly enjoyed my first blogging experience. Well, until next time...
